Poland Kopernık Funeral

epa02167412 A coffin containing the  remains of Polish astronomer Mikolaj Kopernik (Nicolaus Copernicus) is carried during the ceremonial procession in Lidzbark Warminski, Poland, 21 May 2010. Second funeral of Polish astronomer Mikolaj Kopernik (Nicolaus Copernicus) will take place in Frombork on the occasion of the astronomer's 537th birth anniversary on 22 May 2010. Before the funeral, coffin with the ramains will tour the cities of Warmia. Remains of Mikolaj Kopernik were found in the year 2005 in Frombork. It took couple of years to recoveridentify the remains. Copernicus was the first astronomer to formulate a comprehensive heliocentric cosmology, which displaced the Earth from the center of the universe.  EPA/ADAM WARZAWA POLAND OUT
