The red shirt protest has been unusually violent, by Thai standards, with war weapons used on both sides. In a street battle between troopsred shirts on April 10, at least five soldiers died from grenadebullet woundsmore than 200 were injured. The government blamed 'terrorists' for the attacks on troops.
