Turkey's Akcansa 2009 Net Profıt Down 28% To Try75.008m
Turkish cement company Akcansa Cement (AKCNS.IS) posted a consolidated net profit of 75.008 million Turkish lira ($49.3 million) in 2009, the Istanbul Stock Exchange Web site showed Friday.
The company's net profit was TRY104.2 million in 2008.
It didn't give a reason for the decline in net profit, but according to the Web site the company's income from sales fell to TRY709.5 million in 2009 from TRY804.4 million a year earlier.
The company's operating profit also decreased to TRY100.3 million in 2009 from TRY175.1 million a year earlier.
