Turkey's Bım To Open More Than 300 New Stores In 2010
Turkish discount supermarket chain BIM (BIMAS.IS) Thursday said it plans to open more than 300 new storesinvest 130 million Turkish lira ($85.4 million) in 2010.
In a statement ahead of a press conference, BIM said it aims to hire around 1,500 new workers in 2010. It recruited 14,904 personnel in 2009.
The company also plans to open 40 new stores in Morocco this year, the statement said.
BIM Wednesday posted a consolidated net profit of TRY212.9 million in 2009, compared with a a net profit of TRY114.1 million a year earlier.
