Turkey's Sısecam 1q Net Profıt Jumps Eıght-fold To Try85.9m
Turkish glass maker Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS, or Sisecam (SISE.IS), late Friday posted a consolidated first quarter net profit of 85.9 million liras ($56.14 million).
The company posted a net loss of TRY10.76 million, in the same period of last year.
According to the Istanbul Stock Exchange's Web site, the jump in the net profit stemmed from increasing sales.
Income from sales rose to TRY925.67 million in the first quarter from TRY790.29 million a year earlier.
Sisecam shares Friday closed trading on the Istanbul Stock Exchange unchanged at TRY1.95, outperforming a 3.77% lower overall market.
