Turkey Central Bank: Inflatıon Wıll Contınue To Declıne
The Turkish central bank said Friday that it expects inflation to continue to decline when temporary effects gradually fade.
Data from the Turkish Statistics Institute, or TUIK, Thursday showed that the Turkish consumer price index fell 0.36% on the month in May, while producer prices fell 1.15% on the month in May.
In annual terms, consumer prices rose 9.10%producer prices increased 9.21%.
In its May price developments report, the central bank also said it expects the country's annual inflation rate to be at lower levels in the next months than the 8.4% forecast in its April inflation report.
The central bank's quarterly inflation report, released in April, showed that the bank expected annual inflation in 2010 to be between 7.2%9.6%.
